Traditional bespoke hand-made windows and doors.
Wood – we only use solid hardwood timbers
Only solid hardwood timbers create the strongest and longest lasting windows and doors. We use sustainably sourced Idigbo wood from Africa, an exceptional quality hardwood timber that’s similar in appearance to Oak. Easy to work with, doesn’t warp and is resistant to water and termites. Modern engineered woods that many companies use can deteriorate over the years, particularly from moisture retention. Little wonder our frames can last a lifetime.
Joinery – highly skilled craftsman
Everything is bespoke and made to order using traditional and exacting methods. Yes we have all the machinery to work efficiently, but we never loose sight of the attention to detail the eye provides. Hand finishing produces the exceptional quality we are so proud of.
Glazing for Maximum Noise Reduction- we make our own
We make our own glazing because we couldn’t find a reliable source to produce them consistently to our own exacting standards. That way we can control the quality from start to finish (which we prefer!) Glazing spaces are always filled with Argon gas for maximum insulation and sound proofing properties.
The reduction in outside noise is quite dramatic
Ironmongery – solid metal fittings
A wide choice of solid metal fittings in varying colours and finishes, which our surveyor will show you.
Paint – water based
A microporous water based paint with a white satin finish and 70% sheen comes as standard. If you’re feeling more adventurous? We can colour match shades such as a Farrow and Ball with tailored and sprayable exterior paints produced for us by Morrell Paints.
Fitting – expertly fitted
Our fitting team are experienced, tidy, friendly and helpful and naturally operate to all current COVID19 Safety Standards.
From cutting, joinery, painting, glazing and finishing – no chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Nothing is wasted – even the sawdust we collect through our dust extraction system is given to the local stables to make bedding for their horses.
Traditional Meets Performance
Our traditional timber sash windows and doors have delighted customers for over 40 years. Combining elegance with exceptional standards of performance, insulation, security and finish, our products are of the very highest quality.
