About the Box Sash Windows Co.
The subtle curves on frames, rails or glazing bars add that authentic period touch to
windows and doors. Where we are replacing existing units, you can be sure that we
will faithfully replicate those original designs.
Our Patented sealed-unit double glazing techniques can be utilised with curves, without
disturbing these enchanting subtleties of traditional English architecture.
Will the new curves look like the originals ?
Yes. When our joiner visits your house to re-check the surveyor’s measurements, he will take a full template.
If the original curves have been removed from my house can they be replaced ?
Yes. We can visit neighbouring or similar houses to take the format of the curves.
Can the new curved window/s be double glazed ?
Yes. Using our unique, patented, system, this is no problem.
Will the double-glazing be obtrusive ?
Not at all. Discreet and visibly un-obtrusive “putty look” finish outside, original mouldings inside. CLICK HERE.
Can I transfer my guarantee ?
Yes. Just use the password we give you to enter the Customers’ secure section on our website. There you will be able to transfer the name of the beneficial holder of the guarantee.
What will it cost ?
It depends on many factors, for example:
The size and type of the windows/doors that you would like to replace.
The level of service you choose.
The age of your house, and if there are obstacles to overcome by our installers, e.g. structural.
Our surveyor can provide you with a no obligation Best Advice Report and Quotation. To do that he will need to visit the property and go through things with you. This will take an hour or two, depending on the complexity. CLICK HERE.
It depends on many factors, for example:
How long will it take to fit ?
The surveyor can give you an approximation, but we need to start the installation on site before we know
for certain. Every house, every window/door is different. CLICK HERE.
Will they help to maintain the value to my house ?
Period and character houses hold their prices better than modern ones. In today’s market, keeping up
maintenance in a profession way, and re-placing modern features with ones authentic to the original design,
is the way to maximise value.
